01 / ABOUT OPAL

Beyond morphology.
A biomechanical perspective.

Opal measures oocyte viscoelasticity and analyzes it alongside morphology.

Using aspiration video and pressure data from a dedicated micropipette, Opal evaluates individual oocyte characteristics. Its software provides AI-based grading and tracks grading history and developmental outcomes.

02 / HOW IT WORKS

From aspiration to evaluation.

    Position

    Align the dedicated micropipette with the oocyte under a microscope.

  2. 02

    Aspirate

    Apply gentle suction and record the aspiration video and pressure.

  3. 03

    Analyze

    Extract mechanical and morphological features from the recorded video and pressure data.

  4. 04

    Grade

    The predictive model evaluates these features and assigns a grade to each oocyte.

Grades A, B and C indicate each oocyte’s potential to develop into a blastocyst.
